A Flock of Stars
NASA APOD · Roger A. Hopkins
COSMIC MESSAGE
Our Sun is relatively isolated, with only a few stars within ten light-years. But in a star cluster, thousands of stars might occupy a similar space. This image, taken at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, evokes the idea of a sky densely packed with stars, like a "flock" of them.
