On April 25, 2021, a nearly full moon rose over Edinburgh, Scotland, just before sunset. Framed by cherry blossoms, this 'Pink Moon' was near perigee, its closest point to Earth in orbit. This made it one of the brightest full moons of the year. The moon's familiar face glowed in the clear blue sky.
