Phoebe: Comet Moon of Saturn

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Phoebe, one of Saturn's moons, may be a captured comet from beyond Neptune. Cassini spacecraft images from 2004 show Phoebe's irregular shape and dark surface, consistent with a Kuiper Belt object. Its retrograde orbit and low density also support the idea that it formed in the outer solar system. This icy body now circles Saturn, a long way from its birthplace.
