COSMIC MESSAGE
Omega Centauri, also known as NGC 5139, is a globular cluster about 15,000 light-years away. It contains about 10 million stars, all much older than our Sun, packed into a 150 light-year diameter. It is the largest and brightest of the 200 known globular clusters orbiting our Milky Way. Unlike most clusters, Omega Centauri has stars of different ages and compositions, suggesting a complex history.
