The Opportunity rover, a robot geologist, descended into Endurance Crater on Mars. The crater floor is littered with martian blueberries and flat rocks with razorbacks, narrow slabs sticking up along their edges. These razorbacks, like the blueberries, may be related to water, possibly formed by minerals deposited in cracks. This image from Opportunity's hazard camera shows these features over a year after its launch.
