COSMIC MESSAGE
Spiral galaxy M33 is a mid-sized member of our Local Group of Galaxies, also called the Triangulum Galaxy for its constellation. About four times smaller in radius than our Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies, it is much larger than many local dwarf spheroidal galaxies. M33's proximity to Andromeda, M31, causes some to consider it a satellite galaxy of the more massive Andromeda. Its closeness to our Milky Way makes it appear larger in the sky than most other galaxies.
