Titan Surmised

COSMIC MESSAGE

What does the surface of Titan look like? Thick clouds have always made Saturn's largest moon so mysterious that hypotheses like methane rain and lakes have been seriously considered. The Cassini spacecraft released its Huygens probe to land on the shrouded moon. This sketch shows one educated guess of what Huygens might find, depicting orange hydrocarbons coloring the landscape. The mission aimed to uncover the secrets beneath Titan's dense atmosphere.
