Molecular Cloud Barnard 68

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Barnard 68 is a dark molecular cloud in the constellation Ophiuchus. What looks like a hole in the sky is actually a dense concentration of dust and molecular gas. This cloud absorbs almost all visible light from the stars behind it, making its interior one of the coldest and most isolated places in the universe.
