Comet Tempel 1 is about to be hit by NASA's Deep Impact Spacecraft. Cameras on both the impactor probe and the flyby spacecraft will capture close-up images of the event. Earth-orbiting and ground-based telescopes are also watching. This image comes from the Swift satellite, which normally spots gamma-ray bursts in the distant universe.
