The Trapezium Cluster is a group of young, hot stars at the heart of the Orion Nebula, M42. This false-color image reveals dense knots of gas and dust, known as Proplyds, where new stellar systems are forming. The brighter stars in the cluster are sculpting their surroundings, creating structures that point away from their intense radiation.
