COSMIC MESSAGE
This movie captures a fireball during the Perseid Meteor Shower, a celestial light show that peaks in August each year. Meteors appear as streaks of light as small particles of comet debris burn up in Earth's atmosphere. This particular year, the absence of moonlight allowed for a particularly clear view of the shower. The Perseids appear to radiate from the constellation Perseus, offering a stunning display for skygazers. Such events help us study the composition of comets.
