Jupiter's Clouds from Cassini

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, is known for its distinct equatorial cloud bands. These bands, visible even with small telescopes, are organized by powerful winds that can reach speeds of 500 kilometers per hour. This image from the Cassini spacecraft shows how the cloud structures become more mottled and complex towards the Jovian poles, away from the strong zonal winds.
