COSMIC MESSAGE
Asteroid Itokawa, photographed by the Hayabusa probe, has a surface unlike any other Solar System body: it seems to lack craters. One idea is that Itokawa is a rubble pile, a loose collection of rocks and ice held by weak gravity. If so, impacts might not form lasting craters, but instead rearrange the surface material.
