The robot Spirit rover explored Gusev Crater on Mars, taking pictures on its way up Husband Hill. Earth-bound team members combined images from different cameras to create this semi-realistic vista. The image shows the distant Martian landscape inside Gusev Crater, as well as the rugged terrain the rover traversed. Spirit examined many rock faces along its path.
