Dusty NGC 1333

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 1333 is a reflection nebula, appearing bluish in visible light due to starlight reflected by dust. In this false-color Spitzer Space Telescope image, the interstellar dust itself glows red at longer infrared wavelengths. This infrared view also reveals young stars still obscured by the dusty clouds where they formed. Greenish streaks trace the glow of complex carbon molecules.
