This cosmic panorama of our Milky Way Galaxy is courtesy of the GLIMPSE project and the Spitzer Space Telescope. Spitzer's infrared cameras see through much of the galaxy's obscuring dust. This reveals many new star clusters within the galactic plane, which runs through the middle of this false-color view.
