NASA APOD · Gain Lee
COSMIC MESSAGE

Last Thursday, a partial lunar eclipse made part of the full Moon go dark as it passed into Earth's shadow. This image captures the partially eclipsed Moon rising over England. The darkest part of the eclipse, when the Moon was completely shielded from sunlight, lasted about 90 minutes. This celestial event was visible across parts of the Atlantic, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
