COSMIC MESSAGE

The Peekskill meteorite struck a car in 1992 after a spectacular fireball streaked across the sky. The event was captured on 16 independent videos. This meteorite is a dense, rocky object, roughly the size and weight of a heavy bowling ball. It is an example of an H6 chondrite, a common type of stony meteorite.
