COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 1365 is a barred spiral galaxy, 200,000 light-years across, located 60 million light-years away in the Fornax constellation. It is a dominant member of the Fornax galaxy cluster. Intense star formation occurs at the ends of its bar and along its spiral arms, with dust lanes cutting across its bright core.
