Moonless Perseid Sky

COSMIC MESSAGE
A dark, moonless sky in Ohio on an early Sunday morning captured a bright Perseid meteor. This single four-minute exposure shows the meteor streaking across the sky, with a flare near the end of its path. The meteor points back to its radiant in Perseus, off the upper left of the image. The Perseids are an annual meteor shower from Comet Swift-Tuttle.
