Comet Holmes continues to be an impressive sight, with its brightness only slightly diminished. It now appears larger than stars and planets, and astrophotographers have noted its distinctly green coma. This image, a combination of three exposures over Spain, clearly shows Comet 17P/Holmes sporting a blue ion tail, created by the solar wind.
