COSMIC MESSAGE

Astronomers have discovered a new spiral arm in our Milky Way Galaxy, now called the Far 3kpc Arm. This arm is located about 10,000 light-years from the galactic center, on the opposite side of the Galaxy from our Sun. Its presence was found by accident in existing data, adding to our understanding of the Milky Way's structure.
