COSMIC MESSAGE
The Tarantula Nebula, also known as 30 Doradus, is an immense star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud. This nebula is about 1,000 light-years across and 180,000 light-years away in Dorado. If it were at the distance of the Orion Nebula, it would cover about 60 full moons in our sky. Its spidery appearance gives it its popular name.
