Saturn: Moons in Transit

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Every 14 to 15 years, Saturn's rings tilt edge-on to our view, making them difficult to see. This provides a rare chance to observe transits of Saturn's moons. This Hubble image, recorded on February 24, is part of a sequence showing four moons. During a transit, a sunlit moon and its shadow glide across the gas giant's cloudy face.
