Galaxies in Pegasus

COSMIC MESSAGE
This telescopic view shows galaxies scattered beyond the stars in Pegasus. NGC 7331, a large spiral, is prominent at the upper right, about fifty million light-years away. At the lower left is Stephan's Quintet, a disturbed group of galaxies about three hundred million light-years distant. Their distorted shapes illustrate the effects of gravitational interactions.
