Exoplanet CoRoT-7b, discovered by the CoRoT satellite, is one of the most Earth-like planets found so far. It has a mass of about five Earths and a radius of 1.7 Earths. Its host star, 500 light-years away, is similar to our Sun. However, CoRoT-7b orbits extremely close to its star, with a year lasting only 20 hours, making its surface very hot.
