The Colors of IC 1795

NASA APOD · Don Goldman
COSMIC MESSAGE

This cosmic portrait shows the glowing gas and dust clouds of IC 1795, a star-forming region in Cassiopeia. The colors were created using the Hubble false-color palette, mapping emissions from oxygen, hydrogen, and sulfur atoms to blue, green, and red. This data was then blended with images taken through broadband filters.
