Eclipse over the Temple of Poseidon

NASA APOD · Chris Kotsiopoulos & Anthony Ayiomamitis (TWAN)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Moon partly blocked the Sun last week, creating a partial solar eclipse visible across parts of Earth. This image captures the partially eclipsed Sun poised above the ancient ruins of the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, Greece. Clouds unexpectedly covered the top of the Sun, and a bird was caught in flight.
