Meteors Over Quebec

NASA APOD · Rmi Boucher
COSMIC MESSAGE

Meteors streaked through the sky above many of Earth's cities during the Perseid meteor shower. The assault from space appeared to originate from the constellation of Perseus. Millions of small projectiles hurtled toward Earth at over 200,000 kilometers per hour. People gathered at ASTROLab du Mont-Megantic in southern Quebec, Canada, to watch the event.
