Sisters of the Dusty Sky

NASA APOD · John Davis
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, is famous for its blue reflection nebulae. This image captures the cluster at the upper left, still hurtling through a cosmic dust cloud. Other lesser-known dusty nebulae, like the bird-like LBN 777, also populate this region. It all sits about 400 light-years away in the constellation Taurus, part of the Orion Arm of our Milky Way.
