COSMIC MESSAGE

Polaris, the North Star, is the brightest star in the Little Dipper asterism, though not the brightest star in the night sky. This mosaic spans about 23 degrees across the northern sky. Polaris is famous for its use in navigation and astrophotography because it is very close to the North Celestial Pole.
