Planets, Endeavour at Dawn

NASA APOD · Daniel Herron
COSMIC MESSAGE

Before its final launch, the Space Shuttle Endeavour stood on its pad at Kennedy Space Center, illuminated against the pre-dawn sky. Four planets, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars, were visible above the eastern horizon. This photograph captured a rare alignment of human ingenuity and cosmic wanderers.
