Searching for Meteorites in Antarctica

NASA APOD · Ralph P. Harvey (CWRU), Antarctic Search for Meteorites Program, NASA, NSF
COSMIC MESSAGE

Antarctica is one of the best places on Earth to find meteorites. The vast, flat sheets of blue ice make dark rocks stand out, and the cold preserves them. These rocks are likely pieces of other worlds, fallen to Earth and waiting to be discovered.
