Regulus, a bright star, shares the sky with the dwarf spheroidal galaxy Leo I. Both are found in the constellation Leo. Regulus is a young main-sequence star, part of a multiple star system. Leo I is a member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes our own Milky Way.
