Planetary nebula Abell 7 is a faint, spherical cloud of gas, about 8 light-years across, located 1,800 light-years away in the constellation Lepus. It's the remnant of a star that has shed its outer layers. This telescopic image uses narrowband filters to highlight the glowing hydrogen and nitrogen within the nebula.
