COSMIC MESSAGE
This infrared view from the Spitzer Space Telescope reveals the Orion Nebula, a massive star-forming region about 1,500 light-years away. Unlike visible light, infrared penetrates the dust clouds, allowing us to see many protostars still embedded within. The bright central region is dominated by the Trapezium Cluster, a group of young, hot, massive stars.
