COSMIC MESSAGE
Two bright galaxies, NGC 5101 and NGC 5078, are visible in the constellation Hydra. NGC 5101 is a barred spiral galaxy, and NGC 5078 is seen nearly edge-on. Both are estimated to be around 90 million light-years away and similar in size to our own Milky Way galaxy. If they are at the same distance, their projected separation is about 800,000 light-years.
