That Night over Half Dome

NASA APOD · Rogelio Bernal Andreo
COSMIC MESSAGE

This eight-frame mosaic captures the Milky Way over Yosemite National Park. The arc of our galaxy tracks toward its center, far beyond the park's rugged skyline. On this moonless night, storm clouds retreated, and campfires lit the rocky faces of the surrounding mountains. Yosemite Falls is visible on the left, and Half Dome is on the right.
