COSMIC MESSAGE
This unusual light pillar was captured over Iceland, looking north from Jökulsárlón toward the erupting volcano Bárðarbunga. The red glow on the horizon is from the volcano, and the thin red line above it is the eruption's reflection from atmospheric ice crystals. This isn't a sunset, but the sky is still picturesque with textured grey clouds.
