COSMIC MESSAGE
Inner planets Venus and Mercury appear close to the Sun in Earth's sky. This image, captured on January 13 from the ruins of Szarvasko Castle in Hungary, shows them near the western horizon after sunset. Venus, much brighter, is separated from Mercury by a small angular distance, above the silhouette of a volcanic hill.
