COSMIC MESSAGE
On January 26, 2015, asteroid 2004 BL86 passed Earth at a distance of 1.2 million kilometers. This 40-minute exposure from Italy shows the asteroid as a streak, moving quickly through the night sky. The telescopic view also captures M44, the Beehive star cluster in Cancer, as the asteroid made its close approach to the cluster.
