Comet 252P/Linear, with its bright green coma, is captured next to the Large Magellanic Cloud in this southern skyscape. This stack of telephoto exposures was taken on March 16 from Penwortham, South Australia. This Jupiter family periodic comet made a close approach to Earth on March 21, passing a mere 5.3 million kilometers away.
