Near first quarter in March, the Moon lights a snowy landscape in the Canary Islands, looking towards La Palma from Tenerife. The Teide volcano looms over the horizon, with Orion's bright stars above. The one-meter prototype telescope of the Stellar Observations Network Group, or SONG, is also visible. This robotic observatory adds to the scene.
