The North and South of Jupiter

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Juno's wide, looping orbit allowed it to capture direct views of Jupiter's poles, a departure from typical equatorial perspectives. The spacecraft imaged Jupiter's sunlit north polar region from about 125,000 kilometers above the cloud tops. Two hours later, after closest approach, Juno captured the south polar region. These images were taken on August 27.
