COSMIC MESSAGE
Mercury, the Moon, and a radio telescope array share the dawn sky in Italy. Mercury is at its maximum elongation from the Sun, making it visible to us. The Moon shows both its sunlit crescent and the faint glow of Earthshine on its nightside. Below, the Medicina Radio Astronomical Station, part of Italy's first radio telescope array, points towards the sky.
