COSMIC MESSAGE

M33, the Triangulum Galaxy, is rich in glowing hydrogen gas. This spiral galaxy is a prominent member of our Local Group, about 3 million light-years away. This image highlights its reddish ionized hydrogen clouds, or HII regions. These giant HII regions are some of the largest known star-forming regions.
