COSMIC MESSAGE
These specks in front of the Moon are silhouettes of the International Space Station, captured in a sequence of ten images. A photographer meticulously planned and timed these shots to capture the ISS transiting the full moon. This was the first of three consecutive supermoons in 2016, appearing a few percent larger and brighter than most other full moons. The careful timing highlights the precision involved in tracking both celestial and orbital bodies.
