Young Stars and Dusty Nebulae in Taurus

NASA APOD · Lloyd L. Smith
COSMIC MESSAGE

This complex of dusty nebulae marks the edge of the Taurus molecular cloud, about 450 light-years away. Stars are forming here. The image, composed from nearly 40 hours of data, shows young T-Tauri class stars embedded in their natal clouds. These stars, millions of years old, are still in stellar adolescence and vary in brightness.
