COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 6369 is a planetary nebula, the remains of a star like our Sun. It shed its outer layers as it died, creating a glowing, expanding shell of gas. The Little Ghost Nebula, as it is called, sits in the constellation Ophiuchus. Sir William Herschel discovered it in the 18th century, classifying it by its round, planet-like shape.
