A Horizon with Blue and Red

NASA APOD · Sergio Montfar (Planetario Ciudad de La Plata)
COSMIC MESSAGE

A volcano erupts on the horizon in Guatemala, with a striking blue circle around the Moon to its left. That blue circle is a corona, caused by moonlight diffracting through tiny water droplets in Earth's atmosphere. The red glow from Volcán de Fuego is hot lava.
